Normally the first signs are when people in a household start getting bitten. Bites are not usually found straight away as ticks are likely to cause irritation to pets first. Other signs may also be noticing spots of blood on lighter coloured sheets.
Q: HOW QUICKLY DO THEY BREED?
A female tick simply deposits her eggs in a given location. She will simply attach a sticky cluster of tiny eggs to a blade of grass, a leaf, or other relatively soft spots like a little patch of soil. Then the tick abandons the eggs.
Although tick nests may include hundreds or even thousands of eggs, they’re quite small. A cluster of tick eggs is about an inch or less across. Hatching occurs after 2 to 8 weeks.
